Envisioning two people I love one who are polar political opposites helps me: the desire to not hurt them helps to (hopefully) keep my writing from being unintentionally caustic. I really appreciate your thoughts on this: writing about controversial subjects is tough: one can&#039;t turn their passion into a temper-tantrum, but that line is so easy to cross.
